With an increasingly high profile in opera as well as concert and recital work, the Scottish Nicky Spence is a rising star on the musical scene. Joined by pianist Julius Drake, and mezzo-soprano Jessica Dandy, they perform Janácek’s song cycle closely associated with his obsessional love for Kamila Stösslová.

The Prince Consort is renowned for its imaginative programming, world-class performances and its original approach to commissioning new works. The ensemble is also passionate about supporting the development of the next generation of singers and pianists.
For this project, members of the ensemble have worked with students from Guildhall School of Music & Drama towards this performance, in which the students and ensemble perform side by side, Beware! Myths, Tales and Legends.
