The Orchestra of the Welsh National Opera

Consumed by the irrational and illogical, the exceptional Young Artists of the National Opera Studio return to Wales Millennium Centre to explore the theme of Absurdism.

Through some of the most anarchic and off-the-wall pieces in the operatic repertoire from Les Mamelles de Tirésias to Alcina, Cheryomushki to Le Roi Carotte, experience the dread and disorientation of a seemingly meaningless and absurd world, where the value of human existence is questioned.

WNO Orchestra accompanies this semi-staged production of opera scenes, devised, and directed by Emma Jenkins, in an unforgettable afternoon of anarchy and mirth.
